Qifa was not just one app. It was a small ecosystem.
There were multiple surfaces to think about: customer-facing flows, merchant-facing flows, internal management tools, support chat, and engineering visibility into what the system was doing.
The lesson
Operational visibility is not a bonus feature.
When teams are handling real orders and real customers, they need clear answers to simple questions:
- What happened?
- Where is the request now?
- What failed?
- Who needs to act next?
That is why I care about dashboards, logs, status views, and internal tools just as much as the public-facing product. A system is only as useful as the team’s ability to understand it under pressure.
What I keep from that project
I now treat observability as part of product quality, not just engineering hygiene.
